The Strip Club

had dinner with Mike, Nikki, and Maggie two nights ago.  everything went as hoped except the after-party, which was way cooler.  the steak was as good as billed, but the atmosphere and staff exceeded expectations.  what kind of steak house plays a J Dilla album...the whole album...to a bunch of blue-hairs?  i appreciate that SO much.

i've been coming to this bar for many years now.  rachel(the woman in the photo) has been there the entire time, and has been responsible for a number of my hangovers.  she probably knows more about my personal life than most people, but i've never regretted telling her anything.  she has been an empathetic listener, as well as a near perfect bartender, and for my part i would call her a friend.

thank you for everything, rachel.  we'll see you monday night.
